Art & Design that Supports Local Communities!
Breaking Down Barriers – Supporting Disabled Artists
Here at My Dark Friend™ by eXodus Artisan™ , I strive on finding ways to bring messages forward with many of my art pieces. Each sale supports the disabled community by supporting this business as it fully Owned & Operated by Disabled Persons, & through my give back programs like the “Brenny Bear”.
Founder – Co-Owner/Artist/Designer & CEO: eXodus Artisan (read more about my story) I was paralyzed at 15 years of age, & my amazing wife, the beautiful & stunning Co-Owner/Model Little Pocahontas was born 2 1/2 months premature, resulting in brain damage and a seizure disorder on top of many other issues, but everyday we do something in the world to try and change our lives and others around us.
My brand & business that I developed is the way of doing that.
In this article you will read more about our community works that goes beyond our own living situations at home, & how you can help us change our world for the better. We thank you in advance for reading about our contribution to the Local & Worldwide Communities!

For us, sustainability isn’t a marketing label. It means producing less, choosing better materials, working with responsible partners, and creating garments that don’t need to be replaced. The most sustainable piece is the one that lasts.

Sustainability
Sustainable clothing companies are becoming increasingly popular as people seek eco-friendly and ethically produced fashion options. I prioritize using environmentally friendly materials, ethical manufacturing processes, and fair labor practices. By choosing to support sustainable clothing companies, consumers can reduce their environmental impact and promote social responsibility within the fashion industry.
Environmentally Friendly
By carefully selecting locally sourced sustainable materials, such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and biodegradable fibers, I strive to minimize environmental impact while delivering high-quality, long-lasting items. My dedication to eco-conscious practices ensures that every purchase aligns with a greener future for our planet. Everything is created to order (& in house with the handcrafted items I get made from London), minimizing waste for the environment.
Locally Sourced Materials
When it comes to sourcing materials for my projects, opting for locally sourced materials can offer various benefits. Not only does it support the local economy, but it also reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation. Furthermore, using locally sourced materials often ensures a higher level of quality and authenticity.
By choosing locally sourced materials, you contribute to the sustainability of your community while also promoting the unique characteristics of your region. Whether it’s for construction, crafts, or production, the use of local materials can add a distinctive touch to any work of art.

Stopping Child Exploitation in the Clothing Industry
When it comes to ensuring children are not exploited in the clothing industry, it is critical for companies to prioritize ethical sourcing and fair labor practices. By implementing strict supply chain regulations, conducting regular audits, and partnering with certified fair trade organizations, companies can actively work towards eradicating child labor from our production processes. Additionally, promoting transparency in the supply chain and supporting initiatives that advocate for ethical and sustainable practices can contribute to the protection of children from exploitation in the clothing industry.
Equality in the Workplace
Persons with Disabilities
I founded & created My Dark Friend™. The brand is own by my wife and I, designed & operated by me, with both of us are individuals with disabilities. We are dedicated to building a future of all inclusiveness for those with all types of disabilities to create art.
We believe in the power of creative expression to empower, inspire, and bring about positive change. By fostering an inclusive and supportive community, we aim to break down barriers and stereotypes, and to showcase the immense talent and potential within the disability community—which for me, my art is mainly expressed through my pain and trauma—and for my wife, Little Pocahontas is my model and muse. Together, we are shaping a more inclusive and accessible world where every individual, regardless of ability, can share their unique gifts with the world.
Equal pay
Equal pay is a fundamental principle that ensures fair compensation for all individuals, regardless of their gender, race, or background. Achieving equal pay requires proactive measures such as implementing transparent salary structures, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and addressing any existing gender or racial pay gaps. By upholding the principle of equal pay, organizations foster a more equitable and just work environment, empowering all employees to thrive based on their abilities and contributions, rather than extraneous factors.
Striving for equal pay is not only a moral imperative but also a strategic investment in the collective success of businesses and society as a whole. It leads to increased employee satisfaction, higher retention rates, and a stronger organizational reputation. Embracing equal pay reflects a commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of every individual, and serves as a powerful catalyst for positive change in workplaces worldwide.
Women in the Workplace: Embracing Diversity and Leadership
Being a woman/man co-owned business is a wonderful accomplishment. It’s important to highlight the diverse perspectives and leadership that women bring to the business world. The involvement of women in the workplace brings valuable diversity, enriches decision-making processes, and fosters a more inclusive environment. This holds true with our company. Recognizing and celebrating the contributions of women in various professional settings is crucial for creating a balanced and empowered workforce.
By acknowledging and supporting women in the workplace, businesses can effectively tap into a wider talent pool, bring different viewpoints to the table, and ultimately drive innovation and success. Embracing diversity and leadership through the inclusion of women is not only beneficial for individual businesses, but it also sets a positive example for the broader business community.
LGBTQ Friendly/Owned & Supportive Business
Here at My Dark Friend™ by eXodus Artisan™ I are proud to support the LGBTQ community. My diverse range of products is designed to celebrate love, equality, and individuality while expressing my love, pain, & humanity through art & design. I believe in creating a safe and inclusive space where everyone can express themselves through art & fashion.
Through my art, designs, and campaigns, aiming to spread awareness and promote acceptance. Embracing diversity is at the core of my brand, and I’m committed to making a positive impact within the LGBTQ community, creating an all inclusive bridge between every beautiful part of humanity. Remember to be forever one love my dark friends.
Mental Health Awareness & Art
A Healthy Mental Health Attitude is a Healthy Soul! I strongly believe in self-care because it is something that many of us including myself and my wife struggle with. Depression is stigmatized more often than not in our society, and I create many works of art bringing these issues that we face personally to the forefront with my art.
My commitment to mental health awareness goes beyond art. I advocate for open conversations about mental wellness. Through my platform, you can learn more about the personal struggles of the both myself — eXodus Artisan — & Co-Owner/Model – Little Pocahontas and find others in the community just like you to help promote a positive approach to mental health here.
In addition, I regularly create materials dedicated to destigmatizing mental health issues and promoting a healthy mindset through art, conversations, poetry & more. My blog features insightful articles and personal stories related to mental health, aimed at fostering understanding and empathy within our community. Join me in spreading awareness and embracing a supportive environment for mental well-being.
Please do: keep your stories relevant to the topics at hand & share your own personal insights on those topics to help the community. Love your community and spread kindness . Please don’t: judge or hate — We are all human. Do not share sensitive or identifying personal information.
(If you or someone you know needs help with mental health. Please reach out to a doctor, understanding family member, &/or there are profit free organizations out there that can help you find the professional help you are seeking.)
