Becoming eXodus Artisan™: How I Got Here!
I have always existed in the spaces between. In my private life, I am a husband and a family man, known by my birth name. But to the rest of the world, that man doesn’t exist. I have effectively “changed my name” in the public eye because I’ve never truly felt like I belonged to the public.
The Exile and the Exodus
I chose the name eXodus Artisan™ because, like the Book of Exodus, I felt cast out. I am not like everyone else; I find it difficult to fit into the standard molds of society. In person, I often feel invisible—a shadow passing through a crowd. But through my art, I found a way to stop being a ghost.
Art as My Only Voice
My words often struggle to leave my own doorstep. For years, the feelings I held inside—the unique ways I view the world—stayed locked away because I couldn’t express them like others do. I realized that if I couldn’t speak them, I had to create them.
Every design I craft as eXodus Artisan™ is a conversation. I let my art express the depths of my soul, hoping that when you look at my work, you finally hear my voice.
The Birth of My Dark Friend™
Even though the world doesn’t always love me back, I still lead with love. That paradox is the heartbeat of my brand, My Dark Friend™ (formerly eXo Designs & Apparels™).
I created this space for the outsiders, the dreamers, and the misunderstood. My mission is simple: “Wear the Struggle.” Every piece of apparel and every artistic creation is:
“Made with Love & Heartbreak.”
