Inspired by Maurizio Cattelan’s controversial duct taped banana artwork called “Comedian,” my pop art parody the “Mini Candy Comedian” offers a bite-sized interpretation of the art world sensation. This piece features a miniature candy banana, securely affixed to a clean white square canvas with a strip of duct tape.

Ink was used to make the black lines and bruises, to make the banana look more like the real thing. The result is a charmingly absurd miniature that playfully questions the nature of art & the value we put on it.
